Would I be able to Game at 1440p?

Hi everyone. I was wondering if my current build would be able to game at 1440p? if not what would I need to upgrade. Thanks for reading.

 

Current Build

 

CPU - i5 4590

CPU Cooler - Cooler Master 212 Evo

Mobo - MSI Z97 Gaming 5

8 GB 1600 Ram

GPU - MSI r9 280x 3GB

120GB SSD

1TB Hitachi 7200rpm Drive

XTR 550W Fully Modular PSU

you should be fine

if not, the graphics card would be it

a 390 or 390x would be best

for lite 1440P yes. a game like BF4 needs a R9 390X/290X to be near maxed out. My 970 is fine for 1440P.

You will be fine. Just dont push demanding titles to max if you expect 60FPS

Yes the GPU would be able to push 1440p but you may want to upgrade to a 390 or 390X for the best performance.

A R9 390 would be great for you. Costs less than a 970 and performs better with more than double the VRAM of a 970.

I would say not a good experience, would have to turn down settings.
