Hi all,

I've lately been interested in an idea and that's what inspired this. An idea about how we pay for music and how wrong it is (the method of doing so not the act of doing so).

Survey link -> https://onedrive.live.com/redir?page=survey&resid=CD679EA89B4BB9BE!96008&authkey=!AOPIiH1ep3vajRU&ithint=file%2cxlsx

Thanks :)

Side Note - I'm using Excel Online now instead of Google Forms for the survey.

Do you like the change or not?

Yeah I've noticed :(

works good

Depending on internet quality it might take a bit of time to load. That's my only gripe.

Lol. I love how some consider 1.5Mb/s High quality only.

And i love how some listen to well over 100+ songs a day.

Think I'd rather use G forums, this isn't exactly the best when it comes to loading times.

One rather big problem I see is that you've set it out as as if people are doing one or the other. I'm sure I'm not the only one that's willing to pay for a decent album but obtains most of their collection through 'Jack Sparrow's pass' if you get what I mean.

It also seems to be a common theme with your questions... You either do this, or that, or you only do this.

The way we're doing it is wrong.

With the idea of paying per song. You pay artists more directly and pay more to them than through monthly subscriptions.

so 70% of say $0.05 would go to A record label and an artist might get paid $0.01 or $0.02 . This is better than what currently happens. Spotify pays record labels less than a faction of a cent. it's tiny.

I'll try and fix that in the future.

I tend to listen to the radio on google play music based on artists that I've already listened to, I wouldn't want to be paying for a song if I didn't even know if I was going to like it.

Loads just fine for me, then again I'm on a 400mbps connection..

Well, considering most artist dont actually write their own songs, I doubt they deserve the bigger cut...
