1.5/3Tb Barracuda is not the most reliable pick. 2 or 4 however is good.

I'd also recommend WD, had bad experience with Seagate drives.

should i get WD Blue 1tb or Seagate Barracuda 3tb?

seagate 2tb works amazingly for me

the 3tb is very, very likely to fail

woaaah, with the very's. It's not. It's more likely. But we don't even know anymore, Seagate had a remaster of all their drives recently, just don't buy the old one.

oh ? I didn't knew about the 3tb remaster. hm. maybe it is changed. 

 

idk my dad picked up 2x 3tb toshiba drives for our nas.

toshiba gives me shivers. If they make their hard drives like they make their laptops I wouldn't even touch them. But I guess they don't.
