I intend to get a sixth, and last mech KB, and it has to be a Filco......waiting to see if there's anything new, if not, prolly get a Majestouch 2. Two Ducky is enough, I'm determined to get a Filco! :wub:

 

Try getting either the Ninja or the camouflage edition because they come with keycap puller. Trust me, just for the sake of the keycap pullar and some WASD keys[camouflage package] and windows key(Ninja package).

man that Ducky Shine II 78 Version is BEAST, How do you find the different switches when you use it? Also which switch do you think is your favorite?

Copy and pasted this:

Cherry MX Red - main alphanumeric layout backlit in purple

Cherry MX Black - auxiliary keys around the main keys like the Shift, Ctrl, Enter, Tab, and Spacebar backlit in red

Cherry MX Brown - arrow keys and Home, End, PgUp, PgDn, Ins, Del backlit in orange

Cherry MX Blue - number pad area backlit in blue

Cherry MX Dark Gray - F1 thru F4 backlit in yellow

Cherry MX Clear - F5 thru F8 and PrtSc, ScrLk, Pause backlit in white

Cherry MX Green - F9 thru F12 backlit in green

Cherry MX White - specialty keys in top right (Calc, My Computer, Email, and Internet Home) backlit in yellow

 

Basically, when I'm typing and gaming, mostly Red switches are being used....and, yes, I so totally  :wub:  this KB! :D  My DS II 78 came with a nice set of keycap puller......was told by KB gurus the one I have would not damage the side of the keycaps.

Simple, but love the MX Brown keys with o-rings.

 

But wouldn't have minded the tactile feedback from the blues. Just hate the click sound. :)

Anyways, QFR with Blues here though I like to refer to it as an oem Filco! It's TKL and I've just got a few custom caps like the Half Life logo on the ESC key as well as the Trololo man

Is this the real life? Or is this just fantasy?

Huh? I'm testing the orange LED keys on my 78, which are Browns, I do feel a tactile feedback, just no accompanying 'click'. Isn't that what the browns are supposed to be? They're like Blues but w/o the 'click'....my Red and Black are linear, I don't feel a 'bump' when they are depressed, I certainly do feel a 'bump' with the Browns.

 

BTW, what do you guys think of this?

Yep that's exactly it mate. I also got the smiley face ones and while they are cool, I kinda paid £10 for 4 caps which is kinda a lot :P

Hopefully that can happen! Obviously the forum is in early BETA, but yes, as you say they seem huge Mech. Keyboard fans. Nice board, how do you find the blues? I had a blue board before, the sound eventually did me over, but i loved the typing feeling, hence getting browns :)

 

I have seen a few saying that they "eventually" got tired of the sound of the blue, but how long did it take for you?

 

I have been typing on my Ducky G2Pro with a mix og blues and greens for a few months now, and I continue to love it! I tried  Logitech G710+, which I was actually pretty disapointed over, the tactile feedback was not nearly as clear as I had though/hoped, so Im not a fan of browns at all.

Green, Blue are great, a some months I'm getting a keyboard with Whites, really looking forward to that. Blacks are good too, I quite like them too. But reds just suck in my opinion, I would rather have a good rubber dome keyboard that mash away on an MX red kb.. :P

Well i used to game and do all my work late at night, so it was kind of necessary for me to get a quieter board - around 2 months or so? Can't really remember.

I got it from Teraset.net its a european reseller, and the caps are made by a guy who goes by "Ducky Nordic" on Deskthority.. :)

I love the design! The two tone colors is very appealing to my eyes. Black and Yellow (the song ^.^)  Yes I do feel a tactile feedback, but not as pronounced as a MX Blue which I tried in a store.

I've got a Filco Tenkeyless keyboard coming in the mail. Blue MX switches. Can't wait, never actually owned a mechanical keyboard myself.

I'm currently using a Razer Black Widow Expert.  It has Cherry MX blue switches and I absolutely love it.  I got it on NCIX on sale for ~$60.  I can't type on a membrane keyboard now without missing my mechanical one.

This is my first venture into the mechanical keyboard world and I'm not looking back.

Love it.
