Should I get an Lg Ultrawide monitor or an 1440p 144hz monitor?

CoolBeans72

I recently got some money, and am looking for a new monitor. Which monitor should I get? I mainly do gaming but do some productivity.

Go for gold and get an ultrawide, 1440p 144hz monitor.

I don't have that much money :)

Between resolution, refresh rate, and size/ratio, The most important is size/ratio , it's not gonna do you good if you don't like the size and ratio. AFter that is refresh rate, 144hz refresh is alot smoother than 60hz, how smooth you ask? Once you get use to 144hz, 60hz will look like a powerpoint slide show. You don't even have to be gaming, moving your mouse on the desktop looks like a slideshow on 60hz so there's that to consider.

Best of both worlds would be ultra wide 144hz, but I don't think that's available, I would suggest 144hz. Once you go 144hz, you can't go back.

I'd avoid the 2560 x 1080's, since they're measured horizontally the vertical size of the monitor suffers a lot.  I was going to get one and went to best buy just so I could look at it (literally the best place in town unfortunately) and it looked like a toy it was so small vertically.  I would've been really disappointed if I ordered that online and didn't know.  I just got a cheap 1080p 144hz tn display and I'm blown away by the difference.

3440 x 1440 would be dope
