What motherboard is good for my rig?

So I am planning on buying a PC, and I have mostly decided what parts I wanna buy, but when I started looking for a motherboard I got totally lost and couldn't figure out which is better and why.

So can anyone help me out with this?

My other parts are:

GTX 960 2 gb

i5-4590 3,2 ghz

8 gb RAM

PSU 500W

I just don't want a motherboard that will bottleneck my GPU and/or my CPU.

Literally impossible. Motherboards have no impact on performance. And since you have a locked processor and a single GPU there is nothing to worry about.

But different motherboards have different features. So your priorities will matter greatly on finding the right MOBO

There's no such thing as mobo bottleneck (not for your CPU anyway).

 

You can get any H81 / B85 / H97 / Z97 mobo you want, they'll all have the exact same performance. Difference is only the extra features, such as number of USB, Sata, fan headers, PCIE distribution, aesthetics, RAID, that sort of thing.

So my GPU will be able to function with it's FULL potential, even if I buy a not so good MOBO?

As for what features I want, I just want a MOBO that can overclock my GPU.

The mobo is pretty much irrelevant for performance. As said, the different models only vary in features, not in performance.

Expensive as Shjjjjjjjj.......

 

If you are willing to dump in all that money, then get 50~60$ mobo and dump those extra 100$ onto a better GPU.
