Single Player/Campaign Difficulty in games

AlTech

Why are some single player games so hard?

Why do they not have difficulty options?

It pisses me off so much. Because then when I can't do something which i feel is way harder than it needed to be, it makes me very annoyed and I just want to stop playing.

Games like dying light, Watch Dogs, Maybe I just am used to easy single player in games but this is ridiculous. In watch dogs, the easy difficulty is too difficult and in Dying Light there is no difficulty option and it is very difficult.

Did Techland and Ubisoft test their respective games before releasing them? Cos it feels like a major oversight. One that could only happen if they didn't test their game.

I try to do missions and objectives and follow the campaign but a lot of the time it feels like it is too hard.

What can i do to be better at single player parts of games? I feel like a lot are way more difficult than they should be.

and last but not least, What are your thoughts on Game Difficulty?

>Ubisoft
there's your probelm

on topic,
I go easy 40% of the time or normal, i only go hard if I've played the game before or doing a achievement
I play a game to enjoy it, and i if i can't kill someone fairly easily and have to grind it then I don't like it.

Go play Piranha Bytes Games - especially the old ones: Gothic, Gothic 2.

Most of the time games are made easy enough for most players to be played. There are "hard" games I enjoy and I'm good at and "easy" games I find hard.

Maybe you're bad at games. Doesn't mean that you're stupid or something.

@AluminiumTech

I'm sure you're exceptionaly better at something else. Or you will be one day, just find the things in your life that you're good at and enjoy and don't let anyone discourage you my friend :) If games are still fun for you even tho they're hard - cool! Some people like a challenge in a game. If not, there are a million different things you could be good at. Just try everything out!

I think most games are pretty easy on the normal difficulty.

However, i had a hell of a time with some of the witcher 3 expansion bosses on normal, maybe my character just doesnt have the right stats or something i never really looked into stats or gear sets in that game

Depends how expensive they are. Might do it if they're dirt cheap.

I'll only do hard on first person shooters. Or Dishonored, but that's only because I'm fucking amazing at that game.

Hey! You're not very nice.

I'm just being honest.

I know the game is garbage, but I have over 100 hours in Watch Dogs and I've beaten it on the hardest difficulty multiple times. I'm not that great of a gamer either.

Srsly try different genres of games or something :D and before buying any of the suggested games here do your research on the difficulty of the game..

There are a lot of trolls including myself... :D

What do you recommend for non first person shooters? Dying Light is hard. Everybody who's played part of it knows that. Watch Dogs is fine except for the parts where you have to shoot the enemies. Because they take forever to kill, they're are way too many of them (enemies) and they just are OP as shit.

I'm just being honest.

What things make you problems in games.. Is it decision making? Quick reactions? Going along with a quest or a story? Something completely else? Whatever it is, google how you can improve it or just ask me and I'll try to help you :)
