Super Budget gaming PC (under $75)

Sukhwinder

Today, one of my friends asked me to make a partlist for a gaming pc under $75 and after listening to it a I was completely screwed. His demand is to play modern games at any settings and resolution and please tell is it just possible and if yes what performance can we expect. Hope you guys can find anything.

Hi and welcome to the forum,

Other than a used machine that is practically given to you for free. You won't have any chance to achieve this.

You could buy a mask and a hammer and go raid a pc store. That's the only way you could get it working for that price

Thats so unrealstic you should be slapping your friend for his expectations considering the budget.

"Modern Games @ Any Settings and Resolution"

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

A capable gaming machine in this price region is, unfortunately, completely unrealistic.

Even the used and (mostly) crappy machines Linus and Luke built during Scrapyard Wars were about 4-5 times the price. And they know what they are doing and have access to a multitude of sources.

I would guess under 300$ you won't have to start looking for a machine that is even remotely possible to run (modern) games even at low resolutions and turned down settings. Peripherals, Monitor and such not included.

The CPU might not come with a cooler so its probably worth getting an after market cooler. Some prices have shipping fees for the UK and I'm not sure what they would be in the US. He's probably better off with a raspberry pi. This won't play games at good resolutions but it might run a few old games.

You could find that one really desperate dude who has no money for rent. I've come across them once or twice.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.

Save your pennies bro. 75$ is too low. With 110$ you may build.
