1080p, and a 970 is good.

But get a R9 390, It's better. More VRAM. Slightly better performance.

You've been on the forums for long enough to know that the 390 is a better GPU, including at 1080p. Do you need CUDA??

EVGA has stellar customer support, MSI makes great coolers.

i5 4670k+GTX 760

Even for video editing the i5 is pretty good, the i7 might still help though.

what model like ftw ssc hybrid g1 gaming?

LTT did a video on factory overclocks (with the 980, though) and they found the EVGA FTW was the best for your money (for the 980 it was $20 more.) Hybrid is a waste, and G1 gaming would be okay, too. But, FTW is probably the best value.

In CPU demanding games the 4690k falls short, I know this because I own a 4690k and I'm upgrading to a 4790k myself.

you are upgrading to older, and slightly shittier overall performing cpu? that makes a lot of sense. also 4690k "spreads" the heat more efficiently. i think that is a stupid downgrade that costs you money.

The 4790k is way better than the 4690k.
