How to use a Fan Controller?

Crowes

I have a bit of money lying around and I really would love to have one of these for one my desk.

I'm just not really sure how to use it, even though I understand what it does. I'd also like to know how to put it in my build.

While having something techy on your desk is a neat idea, I'd go with something like NZXT Grid+ and set up a bunch of profiles for it to manage automatically rather than mashing buttons by myself.

Any unknown button should be pressed even number of times.

it goes outside your build not inside

it connects to the PCI card that you can see in the images

then you connect your fans to it and use the touch screen to control them

i dont see how that can be hard...

It's a waste of money, to be fair. Kinda just the nerdy side of me wanting to have a distracting sci-fi blue light that tells me information about my computer without having to open a specific program or have another monitor for just that.

I've had a good experience with the NZXT Grid+, which stays inside your case, negating the need to use an ancient and ugly 5.25" fan controllers.

If you do get one, make sure it's the Grid+ V2, the V2 has individual fan control whereas the base Grid+ (presumably V1) does not - I found this out the hard way. :c

I'll definitely look towards this in the future. For now, I've already placed my order!
