750 Ti Vs HD 6850 and 460GTX vs hd 6850

how are these comparisons compared to each other in regards to performance without overclock?

750Ti 2GB card, 6850 1GB card, 460 GTX 1 GB card.

On GPU boss the 6850 is pretty much equal to 750 Ti.

Does that mean, that I can get console like performance with a hd 6850?

I'm asking for a friend who has a i5 2xxx processor and a VTX3D 6850.

He doesn't know if he should buy fallout 4 on pc and save some money, or play it on PS4.

It is Xmas afterall :D

GTX 460 comes in, because my girlfriends pc has i3-4130 and 460 in it.

So I could test fallout 4 on it, before he buys it for pc. But how would the 460 gtx compare against the 6850?

Games to be played:

Fallout 4

Tales of Zestiria

Resident Evil 6

HearthStone.

Dragonball Xenoverse. (whatever it's called xD)

6850 is just a hair above a 7770, as far as I can tell.

So it's not too bad.

A GTX 460 is more powerful.

I'm not asking which one is best. I'm more interested in How much The difference could be in games. And if The gpus in these games could give console Like performance. (ps4). Or if they will run really bad, and He should buy them for ps4.

And the hd 7770 has been used in console killer pc builds as I remember?

750 Ti > 6850 > 460

I think ive seen a video of hd 7770 used in a "console killer pc". So if the above statement is correct, is The hd 6850 indeed capable of running games at 1080p 30 fps ? Or 900p ? xD

From what I have seen from channels like digital foundry the 750Ti is used to make comparison with consoles.

I've used a 7770 in a $200 console-killer build and it performs admirably at 1080p games at high details, no filters for games you'd expect it to play (c.a. 2012/2013). Given that you can pick up a refurb Sapphire 7770 GHz Edition from Newegg on eBay for $55, I'd say it's worth picking one up for a MOBA or LAN rig or something like that.

They're solid cards for the money.

I use to run games at 1080p 60 with a 6850. VERY capable card

First, what's a refurb Card ? How do they do it ?

Also good suggestion, but not looking to upgrade his pc I think. Just wants to know How well his i5 hd 6850 can play fallout 4.

A refurb card is just stock that didn't make the up-front sales. No warranty afaik, but it's good as new. They're about as good as you can get these days, because they no longer sell 7770s now. You could probably get a used one for cheaper, but... I wouldn't go for it if you're guaranteed a working one for $55.

The 6850 is about 100 points ahead of a 7770 in G3D, so... if an updated Skyrim engine is anything to go by, the 6850 should be fine as long as there aren't any massive mods, textures or sampling filters.

But wouldn't they be more expensive as they are rare now? End of life.

Nope. They're cheaper than they have ever been. About a year and a half ago they were twice the price. Very good entry-level cards. I have two.
