r9 390 plus corsair hg10 or nzxt kraken g10 compatibility

Hi guys, i have a powercolor r9 390, and i contacted powercolor to ask if they use reference pcb and if its compatible with the nzxt kraken g10. They said that they do use the reference pcb, but not compatible with the nzxt kraken g10. I don't know if i believe them because a lot of people say that they use almost the same pcb as the r9 290. Can anyone help out?
