970 non m in laptops?

I have no idea what you're talking about. 980M, 970M, and 960M are all classified as GPUs.

I think he means you cannot buy a desktop GPU in a laptop.

Then again that is so obvious I dont even know what he's talking about.

I would expect GPUs in about 2-5 years from now to be efficient enough that m versions are no longer needed

 

This is for nvidia of course, I highly doubt you will see full AMD GPUs in a laptop in the next decade

He confused the original statement as meaning, essentially, going out to get a graphics card and bunging it into the confines of a laptop.

 

That doesn't happen, and if it does happen then sign me up because that would make life a heck of a lot easier.

Id almost agree with you BUT there is the 980 is the Aorus so....... Maybe its possible?

I haven't seen a review for it so I'm not sure if the thermals are great.

but laptops only have 980s in them right now so

The whole point of this was to ask if there would be 970 or 1070 or whatever full non m GPU in laptops any time soon.
