PS- a question for you guys:

 

Should I wrap some ek monarch ram modules in white carbon fibre?

 

Or should I wrap vengeance LP in white carbon fibre?

 

Vengeance will be lower profile, but the heat spreaders are not flat like the monarch modules...

I know a few companies that do that with discontinued items. Staples (lol @TopWargamer) marks all demo laptops, most tablets, and most printers as $9999.99 so that they can't be sold, then lower the price when the items is clearanced out/discontinued. Different companies have different policies as to how they handle these things
