Hello! why is everyone who plays cs:go has astro a40's or a50's when for cheaper or the same price they can buy a better pair of headphones from audio technica, sennheiser or any other audiophile brand that has better sound than the "gaming" headsets?

Becuase of branding and advertisment. Most of those players have probably been sponsored by Astro and didn't pay a dime for those headsets.

And since those CS:GO players use them, the people who watch them will begin using them. That is the circle advertisment.

probably don't know better, (or sponsors in the professional scene, which markets it to the public)

Well it depends

You have those who haven't understood that yet (when for cheaper or the same price they can buy a better pair of headphones),

You have twitch streamers and pro players who get paid for wearing those headsets.

And you have those who wear whatever the guys above wear.

Are you talking about professionals or just in general? Professionals use either tournaments sponsored headphones or whatever sponsors the team. You rarely see anything but sponsored stuff when they are at streamed tournaments.

E: I'll add bit. You can see that some use high quality in-ears under the sponsored headphones.
