Pursuasive Writing Topic Suggestions?

Someone i know needs a topic for a pursuasive writing assignment/ essay that must contain 1000 words (meaning the writer is to make the reader agree or believe the writer is right).  However, both me and the person cannot think of any ideas, so maybe someone here can help.

 

Please dont make any jokes as this is a very important assignment, but if you are a writer or think you got a decent idea, please post it.

 

Any help is greatly appreciated.

As true as this is, it wont work.  (this needs to be unniversity level).

The phone one is not too bad on the pursuading part but the 1000 word could be slightly difficult.

There should be lots of content online why people think the TPP is bad and only benefits the 1%
