~$1600 Fallout 4/Gaming PC

Codsworth

Take my build, and get Windows 10 off reddit or G2A for $25. Microsoft has the software you meed to download on their website to make a bootable USB. It is really easy to do.

Other than really kind of disliking how that case looks, I honestly don't know how to do anything you just mentioned.

I guess the answer to the question I'm looking for now is: Is there anything wrong with this build?

It's not that I have anything against what you said- really, I'm just looking for what's best- but it really doesn't cut that close to the budget I'm at (especially because I still need to buy Fallout 4 for the PC).

Sorry if I'm starting to sound like a broken record. I just want to run FO4 at 1440p at around 45-60 FPS without running into all these complications. Thanks for the help also  :)

For the case, look into a NZXT S340 or 410 Elite Black. Basically, you go to G2A, Reddit, or Windows swap and get buy a Windows 10 key. You go to Microsofts website and have a USB Stick in your PC. Download the software and install it onto the USB Stick. Boot up using the USB STICK and when it ask for the product code, put it in and bam. Also the PSU You chose is not the best, mine would be $1635 if you got windows from these website. I am sure someone else could explain it in much mor detail. The 980Ti will gove a much better gaming experiende over the 6600k, the difference is not worthwhile for gamimg.

Ok, thanks for the briefing on that :). The only problem is I can't seem to find where to buy the keys (I assume the ISO on the Windows website is the one you meant, and the edition is just "Windows 10). Any help on that?

Other than that, the 350D is just a bit more expensive than the NZXT S340, so I may just go with the former.

The game comes out in two days. Wait to see what you actually need for it. E.g., will it be cpu bound? Does it want more MHz or moar corez? Does it perform better on a 970 or a 390?

And don't buy a DDR3 board for Skylake, one of the great things about Skylake is having fast DDR4 support. Absolutely no reason to go Skylake if you're getting DDR3, might as well save some money and go Haswell then.
