Asus Processors?

OK, I don't know about anyone else, but I think Asus should make processors. I feel like they would make a great deal of profit, and that they would have enormous sales. Asus has always been a go to brand for me, and I would love to have a completely Asus build. I know, it would be difficult to compete with Intel's new Haswell CPU's and AMD's Richland CPU's, but c'mon Asus, yay or nay?

Dude making CPU's are a huge investment and take alot of time.

The investment into research and devlopent is far toohigh for them also they wouldnt be able to catchup to intel or amd at all if they get into to it now........even if they manage to grab some of their engineers it is still a humungously huge feet to cross over....however if they had started back with intel and amd and were in cpu wars with them now i think that they would have some really great cpus...

It has taken Intel and AMD decades to get to the position they are in now.... and Asus are going to do it in what a year? 2? i dont think so.

Make processors are price them at aound 2000$ and buldle with with their uber premium 1500$ motherboard. LOL

 

Then it wouldn't be a very good product if it's only available with one motherboard.

The only other companies other than AMD and Intel I want to see in the desktop market are ARM and NVIDIA.

Asus doesn't have the resources to design a CPU. That being said, they would fail so hard in a market where everyone in it has their shit together after 20-30 years

Not if Intel uses the same shit thermal paste it won't, a smaller die with an even higher density is going to run very hot.
