I do not see 70+ apps at all, only a handful of games and two kids apps. Still, I found a workout app and that's good for me.

You do realise the google play store is not safe? and is barely screened or vetted? almost anybody can upload any bullshit app to the store and fill it with malware or worse

But how often do you need an obscure app? The Play Store rating system is pretty neat: anything below 3.5 stars is bad, so stay away from those apps.

I use Facebook, Snapchat and Whatsapp on a daily basis (beside the stock browser and the Messages app). I really don't see the point of an AV.

nothing to do with obscure apps, could be a fake app, or something you thinks genuine etc and maybe not for you, what about members of family that are not so prudent, or just general protection etc

 

if you have a decent device you dont even notice it running
