wat? Is it a big step up from apple since 6?

No the screen ppi is too small and I can see it's too small still. performance is unmatched, at least I heard it's unmatched, can't notice that in apple store as much.

compared to anything below a 5s sure. They finally added 2 gb of ram , it has nvme storage which is stupid fast and the a9 soc is better than the core M in some cases. I'm pretty pissed off that 16gb is still a thing. especially when the camera shoots 4k.

If you are coming from a 6 no, but if you are coming from a 4S-5S yes.

Depends on your eyesight, people like me and Linus rather have a better but less pixel dense display (unless it's involved with desktop site browsing I'm fine with 300ppi). I'd recommend you give it a go at a Apple store and give it a go.

Storage needs to be increased a lot now but i don't think they know 4k eats it up 375MB a minute

Yeah, but samsung phones do have great and colour accurate displays too, they are nearly perfect accuracy wise and bright as fuck. Also insane ppi.

Yes old sammy did step it up this year, the jaggy pixel matrix and low brightness of older AMOLED is gone.

I'd rather have a 1080p screen and get good battery life. why phones are pusing more than 500ppi is beyond me, it's stupid imo.

And the S4 as well to some extent. I was referring to the design and the package as whole.

I was talking about phones in general. oems want to push 1440p and a snapdragon 810 but they don't have batterys that are above 2800 mah. I should not have to bring a battery bank or use power saver to get a full day of use.
