(Very late) Don't get the Kingston SSDNow SSDs

I wanted to make the example like "What if Nvidia says their new GPU has 8GB RAM, but it actually has 4GB RAM, would you be mad???", than I realized they did something similar to that with the 970.. SO I though nah..

It's not that they gimped the last 512MB of RAM on it.

It's that they sliced 8 of the 64 ROPs.

Wow, you're absolutely right, it's so much much slower than the 5400 rpm drive that it replaced.

Late but not too late.

 

Crossing this off from my list of SSDs to consider for my parents' build.

 

Speaking from personal experience, a Samsung 850 EVO will make their computer zippy enough.

I really don't see why anyone would ever get an SSD not from Samsung or Crucial. Intel and SanDisk are alright too.

My Adata drive was really cheap and I have not had any problems so far.
