dayz fix background textures

most of you are going to say well dayz is in testing stage is what i dont want to hear becuz i know this 


ok heres the problem my gf is having trouble with dayz and its the background textures they dont show at all
so what i did was test my game and it works just fine on windows 10 

so my question is how do i update dx12

 

her gpu is all update i dont see any problem with it at all and she is able to play bf and all other games

Update to DX12?  The game doesn't run in DX12.  Try changing the texture settings in DayZ.

You cannot update the game to DX12.

I know it doesn't use DirectX 11. It uses DirectX 9. Update your DirectX runtimes or whatever

I don't think you have the slightest idea of how an API works? DirectX is backwards compatible. When you run a DX9 game on Windows 8.1 you are still running DX9. A game that was coded for 1 API cannot use another unless the developers have implemented it. DayZ uses DX9, be it on Windows 7, 8, 10 or Vista.

1. DX11_3 doesn't exist

2. It autoupdates on Windows 8.1 and 10 via Windows Update

3. Windows update.

if thats the case then why would my pc and her pc not have the same problem even if our gpu's r up to date she even has a better gpu then i do 770 which is her and mine is 7870fxf

Try a different Nvidia driver? What OS is she running?

It's getting a update every 90 days about, with exp. updates coming faster. The game has consistent dev blogs and community interaction. It is far from dead. (do some research)

Is it at the menu? Post screenshots.

DayZ is buggy. Verify the games cache? Reinstall the game. DayZ performs and acts weird on any PC. I can barely sustain 30 fps on lowest settings at 4K, I just turn down the rendering res to 75 then I get 50 fps woo DayZ the worst early access title ever. Hell Rust is better than DayZ...

Change your object quality and scene complexity as they affect frame rate most.
