He won't be gaming on this PC. Only internet browsing, document creation, watching movies, and other light tasks. My question is, is it safe to use this PSU for this build given his usage? I don't want my house to go down in flames.

 

Any input would be appreciated. If you have another PSU that you would recommend in canadian dollars that would be great.

For this build, a CX430M is perfect.

But for this purpose, it's a good PSU.

 

As long as he doesn't get a GPU he's fine.

For what this PC is intended to be used for and the parts listed, a CX430M is a good choice

Only when people start building gaming PCs with the things do we start getting problems.

I think I'm actually just going to get the SeaSonic SSR-350ST instead @ 350w
