Spider.io exposed two programmes, Easy YouTube Video Downloader and Best Video Downloader, which placed unwanted adverts on Google's video streaming service

Why wouldnt they be putting ads in thier software? If its a company like that i wouldnt be suprised.

I really hate adware I hope they make all adware illegal. Especially Ask Toolbar, that is a pain in the ass to get rid of.

What is a Youtube advert? Never seen them. For downloading YT i use Youtube Song Downloader which works like a charm.

Yeah, I just use Youtube Options full version (not the Chrome store version). I have it automatically force all youtube videos to their highest resolutions, stretch them to window size, hide ads and it gives me several links below the video to download the file with a choice of different resolution and file types.

 

It also allows me to basically tweak the Youtube layout as I wish stop autoplays and also has a few options for other sites such as vimeo.
