Samsung SM951 512GB NVMe Write Speeds

davidst95

Hi, I have a Samsung SM951 512GB NVMe.   I have connected to a M.2 32gb/s port on a Asus z170 motherboard.   The read speeds are insane but the write speeds are no better than my Samsung 850 EVO.   Is this normal or should I be looking at certain settings?  Attached is screenshots of a few speed tests.   Thanks.

Those speeds are normal, it's impossible that the 850 evo is getting those speeds. Unless you have enabled rapid mode in Samsung's magician software for the 850 evo

Read below, your speeds aren't the max that the SM951 NVMe can get

How long have you been using?

Hi, thanks for the reply.   I had it for about two weeks.

Please disregard my previous screenshots.   I think the screenshots are from when my SSD was in my PCIe x4 card.   I will post screenshots this evening on the drive this evening.

Kirky2k15, that's for the screenshot!   It's nice to have something to compare with.   I'll post my screenshot this evening.
