I'm going for an interview tomorrow at noon for Best Buy. Any tips for getting on the managers good side?

Be humble, but also be confident. By this, i mean don't go in pretending you know more than those who already work there. Instead, tell them some of the things you specialize in, be it car audio or computer repair, or even social skills. If they ask for job history, do not hesitate to also use school as a launching point. If they ask if you have any experience with customers or talking to people, mention being a school president or something. They never check this information, but it always looks good and is helpful.

If you have certifications, bring them up. Ask questions about things. Nothing shows you are interested in employment like inquisitive nature. Just make sure the questions are not stupid or absurdly simple. Like "what do i do if blank asks me blank?" as you will be taught that later on. Ask questions like "Are there opportunities to work overtime? Will there be opportunities to advance as i continue my employment here?" etc. You don't have to use big words either, just try to read their personality. If they are someone that jokes a lot, or does not seem too serious, you can lighten up around them. If they have eyes that pierce your soul with a stern look, match their level of intensity and remain sharp (in both your appearance and in tongue).

You just have to think "If i were them, why would i hire me?" then figure that out. Then again, what do i know? I made pizza's for a living.

Most of this is good advice.

Except "If they ask if you have any experience with customers or talking to people, mention being a school president or something. They never check this information, but it always looks good and is helpful."

ONLY SAY THIS IF IT'S TRUE.

It hardly needs to be said, but don't ever lie on your resume or in an interview. Even if it's stuff you think they will never check.

It's not something that could ever be proven (Nobody is going to call a school and have them check old records to see if its true or not) but yeah, you are right. Morally, its wrong. That being said, when you are in a situation where you NEED a job, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Even if it means it might come back to bite you. But it goes back to what i said earlier. What exactly do i know? I just make good pizza's, lol.
