Star Wars - Which order should i watch?

in anticipation of the game and new movie coming out, i wanna actually watch the movie and have a better knowlege of the series compared to be watching snippets when it used to be on TV when i was a kid. Which order should i watch the series? from the original trilogy to the newer trilogy or from the newer trilogy to the original? 

Space Journal #1: So Apparently i  was dropped on the moon like i'm a mars rover, in a matter of hours i have found the transformers on the dark side of the moon. Turns out its not that dark since dem robots are filled with lights, i waved hi to the Russians on the space station, turns out all those stories about space finding humans instead of the other way around is true(soviet Russia joke). They threw me some Heineken beer and I've been sitting staring at the people of this forum and earth since.

WarThunder = Tank destroyer and sometimes my KV-1B if im bored 
CSGO = Sniper, I seem to be able to AWP 'well' apperently 
RPGs in general = Mage or Tank w/ resoration

I watched them 1 2 3 4 5 6. But they were released in 4, 5, 6, and then 1, 2, 3.

 

 

Star wars geeks will tell you that you should watch them the order they were released in, but I say fuck that.

Anyway, I think you should skip 1, 2 and 3 and just watch 4 to 7. The prequels really were quite awful IMO and you don't need to watch them to understand the original trilogy.

It's a joke. There are Star Wars fans that refuse to believe that the prequels exist.

Watch the originals first and then if you are feeling froggy then watch the pre-quals.

 

even If you want to watch the pre-quals watch the originals first.  Going from the older style of movie making to the CGI fest that was the prequals will be easier on the eyes than the other way around.

 

Kind of like playing a modern AAA title then firing up the N64 or PS1

Depends, if you want to watch the prequels just go 1-6 but a lot of people weren't very happy with them (particiarly episode 1 & 2). so you could get away with just watch 4, 5 and 6.

you mean from new to old, since episodes 1-3 came out from the 90 - 2000's.
