Security Subforum

Any chance we can get a subforum dedicated to discussing the security aspects of hardware and software? I.e., a more proper place to have posted my thread on Privacybox and Nitrokey.

I'd say there's not enough threads about security to need a subforum.

while its certainly not a bad idea, too much segmentation isnt the greatest either, and as @Hoppa mentioned, theres not all too much talk about it.

 

i feel like the threads would do just fine under their respective other subforums (networking, software and the vareous hardware subforums)

• There's no need of adding signature at the end of your posts, read the COC of the forum : 

• Do not manually type in a signature or sign-off at the end of every post; signatures are only allowed using the built-in signature function.

This is an attitude I strongly disagree with. Build it and they will come. Plus, if I were to tag every topic I see that related to security, I could fill up that forum with 10 pages after an hour, I'm sure.

if you are still unsatisfied, contact slick via PM, and trust me there a a bunch different sub forums i like to have, but we can't all get what we want. it'll happen if there's a need for it

But we will have to deal with sh*t-posters somehow, because this topic is not all about fun.

3: If you wish to educate, a subforum for discussion would be better than a unpinned topics, IMHO.

no need, it all falls under software

there arent that many posts in the software section anyway, so post there more
