searching for new(old) games to play on my laptop

RollinLower

Howdy!

so as the title says, i'm looking for games to play on my laptop. (since it's kinda hard to drag my desktop to school and stuff) it's an old, kinda low powered machine, tough it handles games like Fallout 3 and Skyrim with stable framerates.

i'm specifically looking for story driven games.

so here's the full specs of my laptop:

Core I3 3110M 2.4Ghz Dualcore

4 gigs of RAM, not too sure about the frequency it's running at.

Nvidea geforce GT 620M 1GB. (what a beast eh?)

500GB WD Scorpio HDD

running Windows 10 at the moment.

so, anybody got any suggestions?

you'd be surprised how well the thing handles skyrim. i even have some mods installed and it never really drops below 35 FPS!

i'll definitely look into the older tombraider games. i used to play one of them on my dad's pc a long time ago. nostalgia!

tried minecraft, not really into it i'm afraid :(

online it's kinda fun tough!

The original Far Cry

never played it, tough looks pretty fun.

i actually played through Far Cray 3 on this laptop, on low settings. it handled it surprisingly well! :P

try some classics like baldurs gate 1 and 2, icewind dale, or try Planescape Torment which is the most story driven game I have played by far.

Dust an Elysian Tail (awesome story and gameplay)

Ori and the Blind Forest (similar to Dust)

Giants: Citizen Kabuto (very old game and in my opinion very underrated)

Insurgency (Source game - tactical multiplayer shooter... quite hardcore)

Serious Sam Classic (FPS that makes fun of it self... it is very challenging)

Shadow Warrior (similar to Serious Sam)

Operation Flashpoint (very old military simulator/shooter with best story from its genre in my opinion)

Divine Divinity (old school action RPG with humor and dark world at the same time)

Divinity: Original Sin (new Divine Divinity but with turn based combat and not so dark but very complex and challenging and has great COOP)

ohh... and I almost forgot. Try out The Longest Journey series, the first game is point and click puzzle adventure, and story story story. The second instalment is pretty good as its a sequel. And currently The Chapters is still on going.
