Vector releases a smart watch with 30 days of battery life

Jers1

So the first thing I noticed on Vector's website was "Design Truly Matters - LESS GADGET, MORE STYLE". I think this was discussed on the WAN Show not too long ago. It seems to be more of a watch that happens to connect to your phone than a tech gadget. So it looks good while also having a great battery life. From what I gather, it runs it's own operating system and app store (which will soon be opened to third party developers) and has an app for both iPhones and Android phones. It doesn't have a touch screen.

EDIT: Oh, right. Prices start at 333$

The Vector Watch collection includes 12 different models with varying styles, including traditional round and rectangular face models. Each watchcase is made from stainless steel or gold-plating and the face features a monochrome always-on LCD display with a low-power operating system.

Ditto. I'm just a bit worried about the app store.

Yeah that is always a concern, while a watch to me is more about fashion / build quality, its pointless buying a smartwatch if it has limited functionality and lacks support

I am not 100% sold on it, I dont make any money off my reviews or anything  yet so its not something I can invest in unless I actually 100% want to buy the product for my own personal use

I am interested but not 100% decided, I generally get worried about projects from small companies, often they have grand ideas, but either implement them poorly, lack support and lack software development

My eyes are still on the Apple Watch, but I am just waiting for now until I have the money to splash on a luxury device

Tru point, you may be way better suited with something else or just waiting to see how this new one does, then get the second one which would be much better most likely :P

Kinda feels like a step between watches like the Martian and smart smartwatches.  I'm interested to see how it does!

I am not put off by buying "1st gen" devices, I would have bought the Apple watch on launch day if I had the cash, I just dont have the money right now, well at least , not money I can spare on a watch when there are more important things to buy

There should be an option to have all the button on the left side of the watch for left handed people.
