New Comer - Hey all !

Hey everyone ! My name is Roudy Korkis Kanaan (Double family name). I'm from Lebanon, 20 years old ( My bday was on 17 Sept ), I am a computer science college student ( Starting my 3rd year on October ), I have been watching LinusTechTips videos as long as I can remember but never really had motivation to join these forums but I thought I'll give it a try. Not sure what's the hot topics normally about here, perhaps someone can enlighten me and if you know anyone from Lebanon, or you are yourself, marhaba xD  I recently created my entry for the LG UltraWideFestival Contest (Using Game Engine)  Link here, I tried hard to keep it as small as I can (The actual footage is 45 seconds, 15 sec more than what Linus said he wanted in his video, not sure if that gets me disqualified, if it does please tell me, I'll try to make it even smaller, not sure how tho;p).

 

Introduce yourselves to me back. I would love to hear more about Techies. Btw my setup is in the video, I don't own a PC.

To be honest, I would assume they rule out every entry longer than 30 seconds, or at least give them a lower chance.

You could try to PM @nicklmg on the forum for some info/guidance.

Oh no, I hope not :/ .. The actual footage is 45 seconds. I actually made a game on Unity Engine to make the video, worked really hard on it to make all the animations and the coding right, even the terrain. I tried to speed it up to 1.5x but the voice is so pitched now. Do you know any software that can speed up by video without making it sound like squirrels having a conversation ? :/ First I made the video because I saw Unbox Therapy's 10k $ video but he didn't mention that it had to be 30 seconds, it was 1min 30s then, I trimmed it down to 45,.. I guess still not acceptable

Haha, because the media always puts the Middle East as that horrible place full of Terrorism and illiterates. Not a great place to live though, I'd leave in a heartbeat and never look back. I have always loved computing and any science in fact, I always watch scientific videos on youtube and do some researches sometimes. And of course I drool on any new piece of technology. Especially when it comes to gaming and pc hardware O>O

I would suggest speeding up the video and re-dubbing it.

Did that. It's now 1.5x speed, the footage is 30 seconds ~ and the outro is some seconds more. Should go through but it's not as cool as the first version:/.. Just didn't want to see all my trouble go to waste.
