Hello,

As I am going into 6th form (Collage) I am considering on purchasing a new laptop. My budget is around 3,000 Pounds (4650.45 US Dollars) and I am looking for a Laptop that quite literally packs a punch but I don't know which one to go for. I do a ton of Java, HTML and CSS coding , a lot of photoshop, I do game a lot on my currently laptop ( Very CPU & GPU intensive games like Witch 3 MGS 5 and Far Cry 4), I render 4K photos on my current laptop, I am a video creator (creating animated videos and short clips for fun). I also would like it to be really thin. So which laptop should I get!!!

Thanks,

Lewis

gold plated 10 dollar laptop

We've now got three different subjects going on, an Asian fox and motorbike fetish, two guys talking about Norway invasions and then some other people talking about body building... This thread is turning into a free for all fetish infested Norwegian circle jerk.

the razer blade 2015? i can't think of anything more compact than that. a 970m may not be enough for you tho.

Okay, I'll be honest, I don't know which laptop you should get but I saw on your profile you have sold computers you have built  and I was wondering how you found people to build them for, because I'm also starting sixth form this year and would like a bit of extra money and have looked into doing that myself. I've posted ads for it on a local selling page on facebook but nobodies responded, so just how...

This. They have very limited options on the M.2 SSDs available though. I would suggest getting like a Samsung SM951 for yourself and slap it in there, there is at least one M.2 slot that can run PCIE SSDs.

Clevo P770DM.

i7-6700K, up to 64GB DDR4 RAM, GTX 980M (or maybe even the mobile GTX 980; the one that's a full-cored desktop 980... yeah nVidia and their stupid naming schemes).

Overclocking supported.

You can get it from mySN.co.uk here (the P770ZM model, the haswell one, is still up for sale; but the DM should replace it in a week or two): http://mysn.co.uk/shop/xmg-u705-gaminglaptop.html

Since you plan to be using a lot of CPU-heavy tasks, you don't want any laptop with a HQ cpu as they're all TDP limited. Take the word of the man who wrote the mobile i7 CPU information guide (see signature) who has a SLI laptop with a 120Hz screen in it. =D.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

THE INFORMATION GUIDES: SLI INFORMATION || vRAM INFORMATION || MOBILE i7 CPU INFORMATION || Maybe more someday
