not worth upgrading to 1151. Just get a new GPU.

That would benefit you more than upgrading CPUs. You wouldn't see any difference in real world performance going with the 6600K.

Absolutely no need to go 1151. Gpu upgrade is waay better.

the new i5 will have a pretty damn minor impact in gaming performance.

sli is not a good idea if you can get around it because youre gonna get problems in a lot of games.

do yourself a favor and sell your 970 and get a 980ti or fury x

*EDIT: also ram upgrade unnecessary for gaming. better invest the money in gpus or ssd's

just buy another GPU if you want better performance in games and call it a day, your setup is perfectly fine for even the most hardcore graphics solutions you can think of...16GB of RAM is also COMPLETELY useless for a gaming rig, 8GB is PLENTY for EVERY games out there.

if you feel you need more because you do OTHER stuff than gaming on the side then by all means go for it...i only game with this forum open and youtube to listen to some heavy-metal music and i NEVER use anything more then 7GB even running the most demanding AAA titles. :D (running windows 8.1 64bits with MSI afterbuner, steam and shit!)

nope, avoid reference design at all cost unless you plan on watercooling the card.
