How can I allocate more Vram?

MrIceCremeLollipop

I have the Intel HD Graphics (you know, the ones that barely runs anything in HD) and i want to allocate more vram to it because I only have 64mb of it and i would like to allocate more as it may help reduce stuttering, even if it doesnt i still want a bit more, about 200-500mb more. There isn't a option for many things, this includes vram options. I have a Acer Aspire e5-551p Bottleneck edition (jk)

Thanks  :D

Litteraly add more RAM to you're system and the IGPU should pull what it needs out. but honestly any cheap GPU is better.

You can add RAM to a laptop. did you not know? usually 204 pin.

if the laptop is still in warranty i wouldn't recommend opening the laptop

Cant add a GPU unless it has a MXM slot.

Its not ram i need, its i need to allocate VRAM

By adding RAM the IGPU should automatically allocate VRAM it requires. but that only changes VRAM not clock speeds and other things that define a GPU so you won't get too much more FPS you'll just be eliminating bottlenecks.

well my friend it seams like you have the same problem as i did. the cheapo 200 or 300 dollar laptops dont let you edit anything in the bios :(

well okay than.

Point being IGPU's use RAM as VRAM It changes Dynamicly one second it'll be using 64MB next second it'll be using 1024MB (upto a limit)

nope, its not a problem its just restricted on almost all pentium laptops. maybe its a power or heat issue thing.

Different Intel HD graphic, different allocation of system ram to vram. Most of the time the bios should let you give a fixed amount. But the graphic itself should do dynamic vram, that means it will automatically grab more than what you've specified in the bios. And your cpu is based on the Atom architecture, so it's much slower than regular desktop cpus or even mobile cpus.
