Ok I need to make a hackintosh for my mom for Christmas so I need help finding compatible parts!  Also what is the easiest way to get OSX?

Intel Xeon E3 1220 V3

R9 270x or 750ti whichever is more compatible

MSI G87 Z43 Mobo

EVGA 500w PSU

Crucial Ballistix sport 2x4gb RAM

NZXT S340 (I'm gonna buy a USB CD drive)

Could I fit this stuff into one of the old MAC Pro cases?  Those look really cool and I know she'd love that but the S340 is what I'll be using if I can't use a MAC pro chassis

I think Lian-Li case are as close as you can get to look like the old Mac Pro. The other would be BitFenix Prodigy and Prodigy M.

Alright I'll look into it.

Ye and the cool fact is that you mom can actually carry it around, the Mac Pro case is really huge.

Open your eyes and break your chains. Console peasantry is just a state of mind.

Wow...that's amazing!  I heard that it vibrates when it's turned on so I think that may be an issue.

What is your mom going to use it for? I bought my mom Lenovo IdeaPad G50-45, she uses it for browsing, movies and whatnot... + she can carry it wherever she wants... I'd suggest that instead of desk PC.

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600, MOBO: MSI Tomahawk B450, RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB 3000 (2x8 GB), GPU: MSI RTX 2080 Gaming-X Trio, CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-U12S, PSU: Corsair RM 650, HDD: WD Blue 1TB, SSD: Samsung 860 ECO 500GB, CASE: Fractal Design Meshify C

Well to answer part of the question the easiest way I found to get a copy of OSX was to run a copy or distro in a VM (I have a mountain lion vmware install) and acquire the image from the app store. Alternatively you should be able to get ones from torrent websites which should be fine considering its free to download and install anyway.

Alternatively you could use a distro like niresh or iatkos (not sure if either are a thing anymore, just examples).
