well, not only the NSA is spying.

 

and they can (and probably will) spy on your traffic if it hits the states.

Pretty much every government has or wants to have intelligence services, and if they're not gathering intelligence they are failing at their job. Every embassy/consulate for every country in every nation most likely has intelligence-gathering hardware onsite.
