7zip all the way. Its the fastest, free, and open source. It also takes up hardly any space.

Piratebay has some nice free ones.

^ This or WinRAR even though after 30 days its supposed to say to buy it every time its launched and you just hit close on that window and carry on. My other rig is like 3 months past and doesn't care though. Either of them work.
