How do I partition my drive to do a windows install

Im using ubuntu 14.04 and 1 1TB hard drive, i currently have one partition on it of the full terabyte but want to install windows, do i have to wipe it and make two partitions or is there another way? Any help is much appreciated :)

Shrink the existing one and make a 2nd parition with the empty space left.

Just boot with your Windows DVD or USB, there you can select Custom install.

 

Then you can see your HDD there, You have to perform "delete partition" in the options there. (It will delete all your data)

 

Then proceed with partition size and create new for Windows. That is all.

Partition wizard is a very cool software!

You can do easy what ever you like with your disks
