The 980 Ti doesn't run cooler unless you get an AIO like the reference Fury. But yes it is faster and a bit more efficient. I'd recommend the 980 Ti over the Fury X.

980ti is faster but it is not cooler at all.

Well, it's only fair to compare the two on a level playing field in terms of temperatures :P

But by cooler I meant it puts out less heat, not that the core itself runs cooler.

So I was wondering is the Fury X or 980ti better not just in preformence.

980ti is just a better way to spend your money. Then again, stocks can be an even better way.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Only barely... like 20W or so... The Fury X is a bit less powerful than the 980 Ti but IMO it's unfair to say the Fury X generates more heat. The 980 Ti/TITAN X put out a ton of heat, they're really about equal on that field.

Both are powerful in different areas, you can't just really compare them in a single term of "which is better"

DX12, Vulcan, Mantle, FP64, Computing is what the Fury X is better in(YES IK ABOUT THE DX12 BENCHMARKS AS IT'S ONLY ONE, THIS CARD WAS MADE FOR DX12 NOT 11).

DX11, "current" gaming performance, Cuda acceleration is what the 980 Ti is better in.

it's a water cooled card...what do you expect?! of course the fury run cooler it run's at around 60c under full load where as the best aftermarket 980ti will run in the low 70's...that does not mean the card generate LESS HEAT though the FuryX consume more power therefore output a little bit more heat (not much but still).

The GTX980ti remain the more powerful card though, while consumin a little less energy and a little bit less heat output overall.
