not really only old games.

if u buy a key you get it instanty and can download

if u buy a disk then you have to wait for delivery then activate the key and dowload a load of updates anyway

the last disk i bought was black ops 1

What is the difference between buying a game disc and buying a digital copy?? Buying a disc is like cutting half the price of the game.

Ever heard of Steam sales?

We've now got three different subjects going on, an Asian fox and motorbike fetish, two guys talking about Norway invasions and then some other people talking about body building... This thread is turning into a free for all fetish infested Norwegian circle jerk.

discs do not cost less than digital unless you buy from steam, if you buy from g2a or cdkeys is usually a lot cheaper than both.

but as others have said the only reason to buy disks is poor internet.

For me, i cba going to a store to buy a game and if i order online i cba waiting for delivery when i can pay £5 more and have it instantly.
Secondly i buy a lot of games on sale like indie games soooo there is that.

And also for big games like gta5, there is pre-downloading

Steam.

For the disc, if you lose/break if; you have buy the sucker again.

Steam?

You can always redownload and it stores your library.

Even if you are at your friend's house or smthing, you can always log in, download, log out, etc.

If i buy a disc, i will throw the disc away and use the code.

He didnt specify 5Mbps, 5MBps or 5GBps :P So dont say its shitty.

well its not going to be 5Gbps is it....

if he meant 5 MB/s he would have said 40/1

it is 5mbps

The real question to ask is: How big is the file/game?

I have 3 mbps most of the time and I don't really mind the download speed on most games

It did take me 2 days to download Arma 3, but it was definitely worth it

Unless the game makes you really anxious or you're going to die not playing it I would stick to Steam (or go to G2A or GOG)

i don't really mind waiting

Well if you don't mind then you can go to Steam or any online retailer

Just make sure that the file isn't too big as that will be the main problem

Keeping the download stay constant would be one of the problems, but it is an easy problem to get past

If the download is interrupted by a sudden shutdown or the PC is forced to sleep after a long period of time

Then the download will fail and the file would get corrupted and you will be forced to re-download

But all you need to do is to keep the PC from shutting down (which is easy)

It usually happens to bigger files or fast downloads
