Have fun trying to sell/ get rid of physical copies of pc games. I have a stack of games that no game store will take, and no ones biting on CL.

I mainly said to buy a disc because it's cheaper. I am not going to use the disc if I buy it, I will use the steam code and throw the disc away.

I am so glad my physical disc days are over.

Stacks of discs taking up space. They used to get dusty and messy however much I cleaned them. And they used to get knocked over LOL. Many had messy DRM schemes. And the discs would degrade or get scratched; remember the frustration of that stupid blue line getting stuck during installation. Or they would get lost. Fumbling with cd-keys.. shelf space was a problem for stores; it was hard for to justify having a big selection of PC games so you had a hard time finding what you really wanted unless you ordered and even then you had to wait and things got out of stock. Getting older games was not easy. Piracy was often the easiest solution sadly.

The PC gaming world is a much happier place for me now with digital.

If you have a bad internet connection, you can install it faster with the disc...

i wouldnt even say this is 100% true anymore.  there are plenty of games where the disk basically just has the launcher on it, and you have to download the entire game anyways.

For me slower Internet connections are not a major concern on Steam. Games will take very long to download but you only need to download them once. Afterwards steam has the feature to archive them before uninstalling so you can back them up to physical media so that you don't need to download again; just restore it.

The problem for me is monthly data caps. I have no problem with games taking long to download. But if you are on a strict data plan then that's a problem because AAA games are getting bigger and you run out of data.

Buying a disc is like cutting half the price of the game.

Strongly disagree.

The price difference between a physical and digital copy is none upon release.

In fact digital copies go on sale a lot more (Steam sales,g2a etc.)
