Artifact or game bug - not entirely sure

He died and sort of spazzed out - once his corpse disappeared it went away (when he respawned I guess) - game uses Unreal Engine 3

I'm gonna say bug. Generally artifacts don't look like anything in the game (colored bars, dots, weird lights, etc). In this case that strange display is clearly just that guys model stretched and distorted.

There is no way to know fore sure - I've been getting minor artiacting in this game so I was curious whether this can be categoraized as one. Just felt like asking.
