AMD Radeon R9 Nano Release Date

Newton10

According to the Taiwanese news site zolkorn.com AMD is releasing the R9 Nano on August 27th.

Latest intelligence from sources that may not be disclosed. Informed us and confirmed that AMD will launch Radeon R9 Nano on 27th August, which from now on is just one week left to itself.

With claims of a lower TDP and better performance  I guess we'll get to see the latest AMD innovation sooner then expected.

Please keep in mind that Taiwan's date is (approx) one day faster then ours in North America.

I think the Nano is actually the most interesting card this year.

I think something between the 390X and Fury.

Indeed it is...but still, if we hype this the same way we did with the Fury X, by raising the expectations too much, then we might be disappointed yet again.

I don't expect too much.

If it performs like a 970, at a little higher price, then I'm fine with it. The form factor is important.

But it might actually perform better than a 390X. So we'll see.

They should have waited a few months until there were some more DX12 games to benchmark. Given the architecture of Fiji, the Nano is going to stain the bed in DX11 and People who weren't going to buy one in the first place will cry about the disappoint.
