looking at it from head on - out side. bc you're pushing air through the radiator and the rea set of fans is pulling it through

i used the protective plate that came with the mobo, then made sure to cover it in masking tape

are you alive?

haha yes! sorry for the lack of updates. i'm getting my shop orders all done ( i suspened custom orders until this is done!)

this week i plan on making the midplate and motherboard tray. i figured id start from the bottom, get the midplate the way i want it. add mobo tray, tap for mobo line everything up then cut the rear i/o. i was thinking that if i cut the i/o first i would prob not leave enough room for the midplate!

and I'm painting it because my theme is canada which is white and red not black and red so I'm painting the black white and the PCB is black so I need to paint it white, and I really don't like the look of a mobo cover but if that's my only choice I'll do it and by the way can't wait for the build to finish gotta see the sexy finished product :D

did you painted? the result? I want to paint my PCB also

update!

finally had some time to sit down and get this rear i/o done. it took a few hours. made sure to measure several times since it cant easily be remade.

i cut out the initial outline with the jig saw, then riveted the new 7 pci i/o i grabbed from my old lian li case lol. then the rest of the process was just filing down the excess AL flush with the i/o. i did this with a dremel cutting disc and hand file.

results, i think turned out great! ill prob hit it with another round of filing and sanding before paint.
