Posted August 21, 2015 I was wondering if would work to buy an premade ethernet cable and cut off on of the ends and replace it with a keystone jack. I want to do this because I have only one or two spots that I want to plug the cable into the wall, and it would be wastful to buy in bulk for about 30 ft of cable. Posted August 21, 2015 Most of the premade cables I have found dont use t568 wiring at all. It's always something really weird. My native language is C++
Posted August 21, 2015 I guess you can, but I would not Stranded wires are the normal ones for premade ethernet, as they are more flexible Solid wires are best for permanent installs I dont know if it really matters much in the real world, but that is at least the theory behind it - i have never used stranded wires for permanent or outdoor installs
