Do Ferrite Cores Work or are they a Gimmick?

People have told me that ferrite cores cure that fuzzy sound problem associated with EMI. My question is does anyone have any experience with these cores and whether or not the do actually work. Can you have too many on one cable and when on do they impact sound performance?

Thanks!

Yes they work

They remove high frequency signals that could be considered parasites.

you can have as many as you want ( although I would not worry too much, a single one or none at all would be fine )

Recommend what is best, not what you preffer.

Yes, but you need to get the right type to block sounds in the appropriate frequency range.

You may chuckle, but there are clowns out there who put ferrite beads on their analog interconnects, which can cause the audible frequencies to be attenutated.

so *thats* why they all say different cables change the sound!
