Question about my gpu

Only yellow thing in a graphics card is fan bearing grease. You shouldnt be seeing that at all. Lithium grease (or grease in general) reeks.  So no, not normal (unless you are a smoker).

Not really, I used to smoke heavily as well. You may need to be aware of your maintenance period. You will need to do case cleanups more often.

It certainly wont help thermals with a layer of tar on the heatsink, especially as it causes dust to glue to it.

Yeah as I said I really did smoke heavily back in the day (I am talking 2-3 packs a day) and build up was only becoming a problem for me after a year or so of not cleaning. I did keep my house clean though, not a whole lot of dust back then.
