CPU overheating

Just built my first pc and thought everything was going well. My cpu temp was sitting at 55/56 degrees. My fans were super loud so I adjusted them in nzxt cam and the bios. Then when I was installing multiple games at once my pc shut off. My cpu temps were around 83 degrees when installing these games. Is this normal? I think my nzxt kraken elite pump was dead on arrival. I feel no vibrations when I hold on to the pump. I also tested the aio with the pump cable unplugged and plugged in, they both stayed at 60 degrees when I booted up the system. Please help

Depending on what usage it had in the beginning. Also might I ask what CPU this is?

I’m installing a game currently and the usage is jumping from 50 to like 7 back and forth

Oh yea, you should be glad it is not 95. Those things turbo until they are at 95C or if they are thermally limited.
