Turnip

LukaP

Well Taran challenged me to model a turnip to print :P so i of course responded. Employed more of a cartoony style because time constraints and i dont know how detailed the printer can go.

Its made of three parts, so they can use different colours and they fit in together nicely.

@LinusTech @Slick @nicklmg print this pls?

its divided so that it can be printed in more colours, namely white(ish), purple and green :)

They used it in the wan show for a filler in straw poles and it stuck and went to everyone head like the fire pole thing.

Congrats on 5k

I do, but it doesn't really print turnips. (Boo)

Though your model needs a bit of texturing to really make it top notch.

Its done for printing, so the texture doesnt matter, the colour will be of the filament anyway

Not color texture, physical texture. Turnips aren't completely smooth last time I checked.

yeah thats why i said its more of a cartoonish style, i dont have time to work on this any more really, plus no idea how accurate the printer is

I think the printer may struggle with the leafy bit at the top, but I'm no expert.

Hmm, true.. Think it's possible to have one of those twisting locking nubs on the inside so it doesn't just fall apart or rely on friction to keep it together?

oh, again dont have time to play with it today. if they indeed decide to print it, ill do something like that, though i kinda expected them to glue it together
