Can a Mod Edit my Join Date?

So I was looking to see how many posts I have made in however many years I have been on here. But much to my surprise, I joined less than a year ago. Why I joined on this PARTICULAR date is beyond me. Is it possible to have it changed +- one day?

IIRC it happened in 2001 not 2014 and has nothing to do with someone's LTT join date either way.

I was not directly concerned about it until my dad told me how we ended up in south dakota and then nevada. He worked in a computer company and the top customer was in the towers. When that customer was lost, the company he worked for could not keep going and they had to fire everyone. Including my dad. So we ended up in SD buying a very old and neglected house that was planned for demolition and we had been fixing it up since then up until about 1 week ago. Thats when we ended up in nevada. My dad will be working for tesla and he drives a gen 1 Honda Insight. We really couldn't care about the environment. We drive fuel efficient cars and want to use alternative energy because of where that energy comes from. USA, or countries that hate us. I believe I have typed my weekly wall of text.

Wow! Tesla?! That sounds like a cool opportunity to me. You have to learn to look at the bright side of things, even when there doesn't seem to be one.

Nah, people don't look at join date, only at the year you joined.

If you have a valid reason why it is distressing to you personally... as you have already outlined. Then possibly you have a valid case for it being done.

You may need to send an official letter quoting off some legislation and/or legal references that have yet to be researched.

At the end of the day if it's not surfaced on their CMS then it's just a simple SQL query against the database - assuming a well designed database that is.

it really isnt a huge deal, I just wanted to know if it was something easy. However, here on the LTT forums, we have ways of making easy things hard.

Imo you should be proud of joining on that day. You have moved on and went for something you enjoy in life. Making a day bad day just because something bad happened in past... You would eventually end having bad day once a week.

And to topic, no you can't change join date. You can ask for account delete and create new account with same day today. Unless you have some other problem with 8/15.
